In
September 2005, Nancy and I had the pleasure
of having Bud Plant and his lovely wife
Ann visit our house and studio. I've
always been a huge fan of Bud's catalog.
Actually, one of my goals when I started
publishing was to be featured in Bud's
catalog!
We
gave them the tour, showed them some
of my work in progress, and we finished
the evening at the Boundary Bay Brewery
where we had drinks and a delicious meal.
A
few weeks later, I received an email
from Bud's Marketing Coordinator, Carolina
Stewart, asking me if I would be willing
to provide a design for the large envelope
they use to send out catalogs to their
international and new customers. Artists
that have been featured in the past include
Brian Froud, William Stout, Mark Schultz
and Gary Gianni. I was flattered and
delighted to oblige.
