I did for the Pennsylvania's Annual Anthrocon 2003 Souvenir Program
In 2002 , I received an email from Sam Conway, one of the organizers of the annual Anthrocon in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He asked me if I'd be willing to be a Guest of Honor for Anthrocon 2003. Unfortunately, I had to decline due to a conflicting schedule with the San Diego Comic-Con. He replied, "How about 2004?", adding that the convention would cover all the expenses for my beloved wife and I. Well, how could I say no to that? A
few months later, Sam asked me if I could do a
little drawing (advertising Anthrocon 2004)
to be included in the 2003 program. Initially,
the theme of the 2004 convention was going
to be "zoot
suit". So, I came up with the little graphic
on the left. Then, they changed the theme to "summer
games" and apologetically asked me if
I could have another stab at it. The drawing
on the right
is what I came up with.
