Off to San Diego
July 23rd, 2008
Nancy and I are just about ready to get on the plane to San-Diego for this year's Comic-Con.
I'm looking forward to hanging out with friends, mingling with industry pros and chatting with fans.
I will be signing on Saturday, July
26th between 1:00-3:00pm at the Flight Booth (#1228). I will have copies of my latest books and comics, as well as Flight: Volume 5, which contains a 36-page installment of The Saga of Rex. Come by and say hi!
Also, check out this link for the lowdown on the Flight artists who will be signing during the convention.
Wildlife from the Hotspots

Today, Matter Group is launching their fourth series of Xeko trading cards: Mission China. This new set contains some of my favorite work I've done for the series so far. As some of you may know, I've been involved with Xeko since the very beginning (2005) when Amy Tucker approached me with her concept for an ecologically friendly trading card game. I loved her idea and decided to collaborate.
For the past four years, I've been pushing my illustration skills up a few notches to convey some of nature's most beautiful creatures. I'm delighted to be able to present some of this work in a new art book called, Wildlife from the Hotspots. Click here for more info.
ZED #9 is here!
July 7th, 2008
ZED #9 is back from the printer and it looks good. I love it and so does my wife, Nancy. Check out an 8-page preview here.
On a sadder note, we've been informed by our distributor, Diamond Comics, that they will no longer carry ZED. This means that you won't find ZED in comic stores anymore. If you're a fan or a potential reader who wants your ZED fix, your options at this point are: to order the book through our website; to catch me signing at a convention; or to encourage your local store to place an order directly with us.
Will this blow from our distributor discourage me from doing ZED? No way! I thrive on adversity. If there are only a few readers out there who enjoy ZED, that's good enough for me.
Speaking of new readers, we've slashed the price of ZED: Volume One (issue 1-4) to $5 for the softcover and $8 for the hardcover (price adjusted higher for Canada and oversea orders due to shipping rates). If you haven't checked out the series yet, this is a good place to start. Order here.

I don't know about you but I'm extremely excited about the release of Flight: Volume 5 on July 22nd. What I've seen so far is fantastic. The stories are fun, cool and inspiring, and the art is beautiful.
The magnificent cover is by our amazing editor, Kazu Kibuishi. He's a big part of why Flight is as good as it is. Take a look at this recent interview he did with Newsarama.
In this volume, I continue The Saga of Rex, with a 36-page chapter. Newarama has posted an 11-page preview. Check it out.

The new issue of the French on-line art magazine, Immersion Graphique, is now available for purchase at their official website. This is a really beautiful magazine, nicely laid out and full of gorgeous artwork. What's more, the new issue features an eleven-page article/interview with yours truly.
They offer a free sample version of the magazine to whet your appetite - and it just so happen that my interview is part of that sample. So get your French dictionnary and check it out!
