If you are in the L.A. area, don't forget my next signing on Saturday, February 16 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Dark Delicacies, 4213 W. Burbank Blvd., Burbank, CA 91505. I'll be signing Frenzied Fauna as well as all my other books. This is a group signing, so here are the rest of the people that will be in attendance:

The legendary Richard Matheson signs Nightmare at 20,000 Feet ; and Abu and the Seven Marvels. Joining Richard will be Abu's illustrator William Stout. Richard will also sign copies of Dark Dreamers. Please note: Richard will only sign Nightmare, Abu and Dreamers; no other books will be signed at this time. Signing with Richard will be Dennis Etchison, author of The Death Artist, his acclaimed short story collection now in paperback. Bill Walker signs his new thriller Camp Stalag.

This should be a fun time, so come on by!

Just got back from our little trip up north. The signing at APE went very well. I met a lot of new fans and friends. A few people from Pixar stopped by to say hi, and ask me when I'd be coming on board to work on Brad's film. The people at Last Gasp, where I was signing, were very nice. I was only scheduled for one hour but they asked me if I could stay longer, so I signed for one extra hour. We sold out!

Frenzied Fauna is now soliciting in the current Diamond's Previews (February). It's on page 362 and it's accompanied by a half-page ad. Frenzied Fauna has become our fastest seller with our other distributor Last Gasp. We're hoping that Diamond's sales will be equally great. If you're a retailer, don't miss out! Order several copies for your store, as they are guaranteed to sell out quickly!

Around Christmas time, I received an e-mail from DC editor Matt Idelson. After playing phone tag for a while, we finally managed to get a hold of each other. He asked me if I'd be interested in doing a project for DC Comics. I said, "Sure, why not."

Well, looks like I'll be doing a cape crusader story. Cool! I'm really excited about doing Batman. I already have plenty of images floating in my head. This should be very fun. I'll tell you more later.

Happy new year everyone. I just got back from a two weeks vacation in Canada. I had a great time. I spent a lot of time with my family, which was swell. I love them all. My wife, Nancy spent two weeks with some of her family over in England. We were actually apart during the holidays. That was kinda weird. I missed her like crazy.

Now, we' re back in town and excited about the future. I have a lot of cool projects planned for 2002, which I will discuss here as their start taking shape. There's even possibility of a project with one of the major comic book companies. I will clue you in on that one a little later.

See ya later, I gotta go work on Zed #4 now.
