Stumptown Comics Fest

Nancy and I will be in Portland this coming weekend to take part in the Stumptown Comics Fest.

The Stumptown Comics Fest, now in its second year, was started almost on a whim when a small group of Portland-area cartoonists lamented the lack of local convention-style outlets. While there were certainly other comic book shows in town, there weren't any that gave much attention to the artists themselves. The dream was to design a festival with the creators as its focus, rather than dealers and work-for-hire publishers.

Gagné International will have a table in the exhibition hall and we're anxious to meet fans and peers. I'll also be giving a presentation from 12:00 to 13:00. Come by and get a sneak peak at some of my upcoming projects! Click on the banner below for more info:

Short Films DVD - Back in Stock

I just bought a big stack of DVDs that The Pod produced for me a couple of years ago. When I was informed that they still had copies stashed away in their warehouse, I called them up right away. I'm glad to be able to make this available again. Click here for more info.

"Prelude to Eden" Update

Thank you for all the emails and suggestions.

I'm currently in the process of upgrading to a hosting plan that will give me substantially more bandwidth. If everything goes well, Prelude to Eden will be back on my website within a week.

In the meantime, you can download the film at these sites:

"Prelude to Eden" Off Line

Little did I know that putting Prelude to Eden on-line would create such a frenzy! In just a couple of days, the film has been downloaded several thousand times, far exceeding my bandwidth limitations. I wanted to offer a high quality version for anyone to own, but the whole thing has sort of backfired and now, I owe a hefty penalty fee. At the rate people were downloading the film, I would have to pay about $1000 a month in additional bandwidth requirement. I have no choice but to take the film off line for now. I'll investigate some options to see what I can do.

Watch "Prelude to Eden"!

Thanks to my friends at The Pod, I now have a wonderful Quicktime master of Prelude to Eden. We're starting to run low on DVDs and I'm not sure I'm going to repress it again. So I decided to have a good version on line that people can download at no cost. Click here.
