Spike
Tail Rabbit vs King Kong
I
never thought I'd see one of my characters
fighting against the mighty ape! If you want to
find out who wins, check
out this short film from Austrian filmmaker Thomas
Stadlauer.

Mike
Hogue on G4 Tech TV
Mike
Hogue, the talented animator I recruited for Insanely
Twisted Shadow Puppets, is becoming
quite a TV star!
He's
been a regular guest of the show Call
for Help on G4
Tech TV, teaching the
masses how to use the Flash
animation software in a series called Flash 101.
Thanks
Mike for plugging Insanelytwisted.com on
the show!

Commission
for Bud Plant
Last
September, Nancy and I had the pleasure of having
Bud Plant and his lovely wife Ann visit our house
and
studio.
I've always been a huge fan of Bud's
catalog. Actually,
one of my goals when I started publishing was to
be
featured in Bud's catalog!
We
gave them the tour, showed them some of my work
in progress, and we finished the evening at
the Boundary Bay Brewery where we had drinks and
a delicious meal.
A
few weeks later, I received an email from Bud's
Marketing Coordinator, Carolina Stewart, asking
me if I would be willing to provide a design for the
large envelope they use to send out catalogs
to their international and new customers. Artists that
have been featured in the past include
Brian Froud, William Stout,
Mark Schultz and Gary Gianni. I was flattered and
delighted to oblige.

attempt.

The
Krah Khronicles
When
I created the characters of "Krah,
the Loudest Band in the Universe" for
my comic series ZED,
my pal Steve
Rolston took a huge
liking in them. I always liked the characters myself
and had a vague concept for a spinoff series called
"The Krah Khronicles". I
told Steve about it and the next thing I knew,
he'd written a wonderful story for
a 4-issue mini-series; a
crazy
tale packed
with fun and imagination. And to top it off,
he'd drawn
a cover, some sample pages, and a set of model
sheets of the whole ensemble
cast. Check
out some of the work here.
We're
currently shopping for a publisher and
hope to have a signed deal by next summer.
Steve
is a major talent in the comic industry. He received
an Eisner Award for his work on "Queen & Country" and
he's currently doing the art for the prestigeous
"The Escapist" series published by Dark Horse.
You can
check his website here. You
can also view the
pinup
he
did for ZED #6 here.

The
Bellingham Herald
So
much for remaining anonymous in Bellingham. My
local Newspaper just printed an interview with
yours truly in today's
edition. They
have an on-line version (minus the picture) which
you can read here.
