ZED
in French
I
just received a box containing copies of "ZED
Tome 1" published by "Editions
Kymera". The book collects the first five
issues and it looks really nice! Eric Bufkens did
a wonderful job translating the comics and preserving
my insane and juvenile writing style. I hope it's
a big success in Europe. For those who read French,
here are a few reviews that have popped up on the
internet:

Andrew's
Blog
My
pal Andrew Scott has a
new blog that's really worth checking out.
Andrew was the music composer and sound editor
on "Insanely
Twisted Shadow Puppets". While working
with him, I found out that he was a fantastic sculptor
as well. Andrew creates the most incredible bug
replicas. His pieces almost look alive! One evening
while having a few beers, we realized that we both
have an obsession with trilobites. Right away,
we decided to put together an
art show inspired by those primeval creatures.
It's currently an on-line show but we intend to
have an actual gallery show once we have enough
pieces.

Fun
Time in Calgary
Wow!
What a con!
We
really didn't know what to expect since this was
the inaugural year of this particular show. We
were pleasantly surprised.
We
arrived in Calgary on Friday (May 5th) and were
picked up at the airport by the charming Laurie
Breitkreuz, one of the con's organizer (and talented
artist to boot). We got to our hotel, freshened
up a bit, and headed down to the restaurant for
a meal. There, we were joined by Kandrix Foong
(the mastermind behind the con), Laurie, Peter
Mayhew (Chewbacca) and his wife, as well as
producer Alan Burnet (Batman Animated). It was
a fun time and we ate way too much. (Click

XEKO
Game Now Available
Since
2005, I've been involved in designing the visual
aspects of a trading card game called XEKO. I created
the majority of the card illustrations (with additional
art from Dean Yeagle, Edward Pun and Travis Kotzebue),
as well as designing several of the games components
(icons, borders, box and packaging elements, etc...).
This
is a tremendously fun game for all ages. I can't
recommend it highly enough. You can order it directly
from our site by going to our ordering
page. But before you do so, click
here and have a look!
