Upcoming Event

ZED
January 27th, 2008

I really moved forward with ZED #9 this weekend. I now have the whole issue thumbnailed and about a third roughed out. I'll start inking and grayscaling soon. I committed to releasing 1 issue a year and I've been sticking to it (8 issues in 7 years). I don't intend to break that commitment in 2008.

For those of you who would like to catch up with ZED, I'm offering full signed sets (Issues 1-8) at the store for $20. Not a bad deal.

First Round of Demos Successful
January 17th, 2008

Our first round of Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet demos is now completed and the reactions from all publishers were overwhelmingly positive. Not only was the esthetic of our game praised but everyone was amazed at the game play as well. Of course, our intention is not only to make a beautiful game but to create a memorable gaming experience. I'm glad this is coming through.

Before moving into full production with ITSP, I will be doing a bunch of production design artwork for an upcoming movie produced by Gary Kurtz. I can't reveal anything about that particular project at this time but what I can say is that it's a lot of fun and I'm happy to be part of it.

Animo Endorsement
January 13th, 2008

Cambridge Animation Systems, creators of my favorite animation software, Animo, have a brand new website designed by my friend Jon Hooper.

I hooked up with CAS back in 1993 when I was making Prelude to Eden. Using my short film as a test, CAS designed Animo using comments and suggestions from Jon (who was my computer guru on the project) and myself. The result was an incredible piece of software that meshed completely with my sensibilities. Animo has kept evolving through the years with lots of new tools and capabilities, and my excitment for it has not diminished.

Since Prelude to Eden, I have used Animo on multiple projects including, The Iron Giant, Osmosis Jones, Ratatouille, Horton Hears a Who and many more. I'm also using the software extensively in the creation of my upcoming video game Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. I love Animo!

Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet - Update
January 6th, 2008

The first phase of our live demo for the Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet game is done. In the next few days, my partner and I will be flying around the West Coast to meet with some of the top publishers in the industry. The team and myself are proud beyond belief of what we've achieved so far and we feel confident that we will have a deal locked in soon. Stay tuned!
